Yorkshire
The largest, most distinctive region of England with proud traditions and a distinctive, definite flavour all of its own. Between the mountains and the sea are large urban and industrial areas, like the West Riding, but the region also boasts impressive historical centres like York and some inspiring areas of outstanding natural beauty. Drawing from this culture and scenery is a very long list of memorable and popular films and TV programmes that seem to be at the heart of 'Englishness'.

Stockholm
Stockholm is the leafy capital city of Sweden. Situated on the Baltic Sea, with its own archipelago of 24,000 islands, wherever you turn you seem to see the sea. It's also a vibrant, modern, stylish centre of the Nordic countries, with a strong reputation for quality film-making, led for nearly 50 years by the late Ingmar Bergmann.

Łódź
Łódź (pronounced Wudj!!) is more or less in the centre of Poland and is a city with a fascinating history – it was once dubbed the 'Manchester of Poland' because of its industrial and manufacturing base. However, up until 1918 it was in Russia! Łódź is also the home of the very famous Film School, with some equally famous protégés, like Polanski and Kieslowski, and has an enviable reputation for supporting home grown talent.

Valencia
Valencia region might be the most familiar of our key partner regions to Yorkshire people because of its proximity to the holiday destinations on the Spanish Costas. Like Yorkshire folk, 'Valencianos' have a very clear sense of their own regional identity and have their own dialect, own regional cooking and customs. It is also a region of immense character and beauty known as 'The Garden of Spain'.
